An introduction to basic pottery making, with the focus on making pieces to experiment with sawdust pit and raku firings. Participants will start with their hands in the clay, molding and sculpting simple pinch pot forms, 4-5 pieces each. On the second day, participants will return to glaze their pieces, fire the kilns, and witness the beautiful effects of the flame, carbonization and fuming on their pots. Open to all experience levels.
